Shaldon Water Carnival

Bank Holiday Monday 31 May 2021:

Due to Covid restrictions the fete and crowning of the Royal Party has been postponed for this year.

The Crowning of the Water Carnival Royal Party and Spring Fete is usually held on the Green from 10.30am – 2pm on May Bank Holiday.  The Crowning ceremony will now take place on Water Carnival Day, Saturday 7 August 2021.  There will local craft stalls, traditional games, face painting and refreshments.

The annual Shaldon Water Carnival is a wonderful and unique day for all the family with the official opening at 10am by our Royal Party.

The Parade of Decorated Boats assemble at 4pm. This year’s theme is “Plastic Oceans”

Fun all day is followed by evening entertainment on The Green from 6pm until late – with Children’s Disco, followed by live music from local band.

Decorated boat parade – beach stalls and games – fancy dress parade – live music – raffle – evening entertainment and bbq – food and drink – magic show – children’s disco.

Another fun-filled event for locals and holiday makers alike, so come along and enjoy this unique occasion in one of Devon’s prettiest seaside villages. Money raised from the day is donated to local charities and organisations.
