With about two thousand residents, Shaldon and Ringmore are well supported by local services.
There is a doctor's surgery and pharmacy in the centre of the village and hospitals at Teignmouth, Torquay and Newton Abbot.
Transport links are excellent. Teignmouth railway station is on the main line from London and local and national services are regular. There is a bus service through the village going south to Torbay and north to Exeter.
Numerous local taxi firms are available and some offer a service to Exeter International Airport.
There are four churches in the village. There is a primary school to support the growing family population with pre- school provision also available. Secondary education is available in Teignmouth for both the state and independent sectors.
For those with a little more time to spare, there are abundant clubs and organisations to suit all tastes and interests. And if you require help with a gardening or property project whether it's small or large, there are a good selection of reliable tradesmen in Shaldon and Ringmore.
If you would like to feature your club, organisation, or service on the official Shaldon Village website please contact Shaldon Tourism Centre for more details.
